Microtaggant® Identification Particles are considered a preferred marking substance by Switzerland’s Central Office for Explosives and Pyrotechnics (COEP). For over 30 years, the Swiss Scientific Research Service’s forensic staff has relied on Microtaggants to determine an explosive’s manufacturer, as well as the date it was manufactured.
Microtrace’s Microtaggant Identification Particles are uniquely encoded and have magnetic and fluorescent layers to ensure the taggants are easily and reliably identified and located post-detonation. For explosives tagging applications, the Microtaggant is distributed through Microtrace’s legally affiliated company, Blaine Identification Technologies, LLC.
